One Card, Many Questions.... One Question, Many Answers.... 😊
Hi there,
Welcome to the Thinking World Blog.
The purpose of this blog is to provide a place where people can come to find or to exchange ideas on how to get to most out of "Let's Make Questions!" in an ESL/EFL setting.
But before going into exchanging game ideas, I would like to tell you how LMQ came about...
Initially the whole idea was to put together a set of card games to teach my students some basic verbs and then, teach them how to "recycle" these verbs using different Verb Tenses and/or Subjects.... In other words; teach them how, when, and why verbs change, so they could become more confident and skillful with using verbs.
For me, the most important factor was not HOW MANY verbs they knew, but HOW WELL they could use the verbs they had learned.
Going fast forward a few years..... With the addition of using Color Codes, I now use these games to teach Verb Tenses, Pronouns, Adjectives, Statements, Comparatives, Making Longer Answers and to sharoen their listening skills.....
And although I have been using and refining these games for many years in my school, even now, I still find new ways to use the games...
Jay,
